# Setting Up Metamask

Getting Metamask ready to work with EVMOS

Currently MetaMask is the only way to interact with Evmos smart contracts. Keplr wallet does not support Evmos smart contract interactions at the moment.

## How to get started

### Step 1: Install MetaMask 

MetaMask is an easy to install browser plugin compatible with Chrome, Firefox, Brave and Edge.

To install MetaMask simply visit the official [MetaMask Download](https://metamask.io/download/) website.

### Step 2: Add Evmos Network

To add Evmos mainnet to your MetaMask:

* Open the MetaMask extension & login
* Click on the top right circle and then go to `Settings -> Networks -> Add Network` as shown below

* Fill the network fields with this information:

* **Chain ID:** 9001
* **Currency Symbol (optional):** `EVMOS`
* **Block Explorer URL (optional):** [**`https://evm.evmos.org`**](https://evm.evmos.org)
